Descripción
Mape-Antique Allettamento is a premixed masonry mortar in powder form, free of cement, composed of natural hydraulic lime (NHL) and Eco-Pozzolana, natural sands, special additives, microfibers, according to a formula developed in MAPEI's research laboratories. Based on the EN 998-2 standard, the product can be classified as G: “Guaranteed performance masonry mortar for general use for exteriors in elements subject to structural requirements”, Class M 5, given that it achieves a compression resistance > 5 N/mm².
CHARACTERISTICS
- Mape-Antique Allettamento, after mixing with water, to be carried out in a concrete mixer, is transformed into a salt-resistant masonry mortar of plastic-thixotropic consistency, easily workable with a trowel.
- Thanks to its composition, Mape-Antique Allettamento has a very low hygrometric shrinkage that drastically reduces the risk of cracks appearing in the mortar. In addition, it has properties that make the product resistant to different chemical-physical attacks such as, for example, soluble salts, freeze-thaw cycles, the washing action of rainwater and the alkali-aggregate reaction. .
- In the technical data table (in the Application Data and Final Performance sections) some typical values are indicated, linked to the main characteristics, both in fresh and hardened states, of Mape-Antique Allettamento.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Mape-Antique Allettamento must be applied in a thickness of not less than 5 mm.
- Do not use Mape-Antique Allettamento as mortar to pour into formwork (use Mape-Antique LC, mixed with aggregates of appropriate granulometry).
- Do not use Mape-Antique Allettamento as a consolidating grout to inject into structures (use Mape-Antique I or Mape-Antique F21).
- Do not use Mape-Antique Allettamento to carry out “armed” plasters (use Mape-Antique Strutturale NHL).
- Do not add additives, cement or other binders (lime and plaster) to Mape-Antique Allettamento
- Do not use products that may significantly modify the breathability of Mape-Antique Allettamento. Use water-repellent treatments such as Antipluviol S or Antipluviol W
- Do not apply Mape-Antique Allettamento at temperatures below +5 °C.
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
- Patching and formation of breathable joints in load-bearing and “face” enclosure walls made of stone, brick, tufo and mixed materials, including those of historical and artistic value, indoors and outdoors. Construction of new load-bearing and enclosing walls or reconstruction of existing ones.
Some application examples
- Construction of new masonry walls or renovation of existing ones, including those of historical and artistic value, under the supervision of the competent officials of the Administration.
- Filling joints between stones, bricks and tuff elements in “exposed” walls
- Creation of tendel joints, even “reinforced” with steel or composite material bars (Maperod type).
- Construction of walls with a masonry mortar with guaranteed performance.
- Carrying out “patch-up” interventions or replacement of elements in walls that present gaps and/or discontinuities
